Barry Carruth

Barry has fourteen years’ experience as a management consultant. He specialises in improving the infrastructure supporting corporate services. He is a recognised expert in the area of accounting and finance systems, business intelligence and management reporting systems and payroll and human resource management systems.

Barry has considerable experience in systems evaluation and the development of strategies to enhance and improve an organisation's corporate systems. Barry also has considerable experience in search and selection of systems, business case preparation, process design, project management and managing mergers and acquisitions.

Barry is a Chartered Accountant with a particular interest in technology driven innovation in transaction processing and management reporting. He is frequently invited by organisations, including the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, to present courses on a variety of topics. These have included innovation in management accounting, innovation in management reporting and business case preparation.

Tom Robinson

Tom is an experienced Chartered Accountant. He has held senior accounting and management positions within the government sector including Chief Financial Officer for New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), General Manager Corporate Services for Sport and Recreation New Zealand (SPARC) and General Manager Finance for the Institute of Environmental Science and Research Ltd (ESR).

Tom has developed and implemented medium and long term financial strategies; business continuity and disaster recovery plans; procurement strategies; planning, organisational performance and reporting frameworks; implemented new Financial Management Information Systems; identified and resolved large scale budget errors, including the implementation of a savings strategy.

Margaret Roberts

Principal Consultant

Margaret has over twenty years experience in senior management, governance and consulting roles. She has worked across private, public and NGO sectors in the areas of business strategy, organisational capability, development and change, performance management, project and programme evaluations, outcomes frameworks, and effectiveness and efficiency reviews.

Margaret works with all levels of organisations, from Boards to frontline staff, to enhance individual, departmental and organisational performance. Her particular focus is people based, looking at how effectively people interact with each other and the organisation’s systems and processes to realise the organisation’s strategy and goals. She has worked extensively in human resources, seeing through organisational change and restructures from their first inception at a strategic level through to successful embedding at an operational level.

Margaret is a qualified psychometric profiler and adept at industrial relations, negotiation, facilitation, conflict management and working with organisations to strengthen their culture and performance.
